When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)

• Approximate location data when you use Water Intelligence features (with your permission)

• Apple App Store: Subscription and purchase status via RevenueCat
• Supabase: Our database provider, which stores your account and catch data
• Public data APIs (NOAA, USGS, iNaturalist) used to display water conditions and species information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process subscription payments and manage your Pro membership
• Send you transaction-related communications (booking confirmations, tournament updates)

• Analyze usage patterns to improve app performance and features

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

Certain information is visible to other users by design:

• Your display name and catch data you mark as public on the social feed
• Your name on tournament participant lists (when you register for a tournament)
• Tournament scores submitted by hosts on your behalf

4.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service:

• Supabase (database hosting) — stores your account data and catch logs
• RevenueCat (subscription management) — processes and tracks your subscription status
• Apple (payment processing) — handles in-app purchases through the App Store

These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS
• Secure database storage through Supabase with row-level security policies
• Authentication through Supabase Auth with hashed passwords

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to retain it by law.

8. Location Data

The Water Intelligence feature may request access to your device's location to display relevant water conditions and fishing spots. Location access is optional and requested only when you use this feature. You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.

We do not store your precise GPS coordinates. Location data is used only to fetch relevant third-party data (NOAA, USGS) and is not retained on our servers.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or display content from third-party sources (such as weather and tidal data from NOAA). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
